Back in December, Kendrick Lamar made it known through an interview with MTV News that he wanted Janet Jackson to appear in his "Poetic Justice" music video.
"Janet, con Janet," said Lamar. "This is artist to artist."
It looks like Kendrick might just get his wish, after he revealed in a new interview with MTV News that she got his message.
"Yeah, she heard the message, so we're still crossing our fingers right now," Kendrick told MTV News. "She heard it, she heard it. I appreciate you for that, for putting it out there like that, that was perfect."
The Compton rapper was ecstatic that MTV, combined with social media, was able to reach Janet when he truly couldn't.
"That's crazy to me to know that they're aware of the music, but they're actually listening to it and they can actually get something that I write on Twitter and everybody else around the world will spread it to them if I can't reach it," said Lamar in awe.
The "Poetic Justice" video should prove legendary.
