During an interveiw with Film Courage, Spike Lee was asked about his feelings regarding the flack he's been getting from many individuals over the fact that he's using Kickstarter to fund his upcoming film. He hopes to raise $1,250,000 in 30 days and so far has managed to raise $404,861, with 22 days left. Spike finds the claim that he's "taking advantage" of Kickstarter and overshadowing young aspiring filmmakers who don't have the means and fan-base that he does to be "ludicrous."
