In a jarring surveillance video from a mall in Iowa, a cop reacts violently to a recently apprehended shoplifter. The officer is seen beating a mother in front of her daughter, after finding her in the act of stealing.
The victim, 34-year-old Brandie Redell, says she absolutely attempted to steal $388 worth of clothing from the Von Maur department store, but never expected to be physically beaten for her actions. Redell says since the attack, she's been having trouble seeing out of her right eye. Both officers were reprimanded but remain working.
