On yesterday's episode of BET's 106 & Park, Bow Wow finally got the chance to meet Dee Pimpin and Keyonna, who made headlines after being featured on MTV's "Catfish." Dee Pimpin impersonated Bow Wow on the show, and made Keyonna actually believe that she was in an online relationship with him. Despite what many may have thought, Bow Wow was not at all upset about being the topic of a Catfish episode, but was rather flattered by the idea that somebody looks up to him to the point where they actually want to be like him, and so he decided to bring the ladies onto 106 & Park.
"A lot of people thought I was going to be mad. I said, 'Nah, man. It's flattering because you have somebody that actually wants to be you.' I remember being a kid, there was people I wanted to be like. Allen Iverson was my idol, still to this day. I wanted to be Allen Iverson. When I was on the basketball court, I thought I was A.I. So when they asked me how I felt about somebody impersonating me, I was like, 'I'm cool with it. It's flattering. It's love.' That's how I felt. I'm not the type of celebrity to get mad and upset about anything. We like to turn the negative things into positive things and I ain't seen nothin' negative about it."
Dee Pimpin explained that she was in fact impersonating Bow Wow online for about six months, and she did it because she looked up to him growing up as a child and people used to call her Bow Wow when she was younger.
"Well, I looked up to you as a kid. I was doing music too, so a lot of kids called me [Bow Wow] when I was younger because I had the afro and I was doing music at a young age. So, I kind of fell into your path and tried to walk your steps."
106 & Park was also kind enough to air Dee Pimpin's music video for her song, "Stunnaz."
