Many people were shocked when Brian was run over and killed, only to be replaced with Vinny, a street-smart mutt voiced by Tony Sirico. Now series creator Seth McFarlane has officially replaced Brian in the show's opening credits. Not to fret, many are confident that Brian will return for the December 15 episode titled "Christmas Guy."
