Marlon Wayans doesn't know why people believe the late Tupac Shakur was a hardcore rapper.

In an interview with ESPN's Numbers Never Lie, the comedian talked about his upcoming movie Haunted House 2, his lack of basketball skills, and his relationship with Tupac Shakur.

The two built a friendship while starring in the 1994 film, Above The Rim. The actor says he remembers Pac as silly guy rather than the gangster everyone thinks he was.

"Me and Pac had a great relationship," he said. "Everybody thinks he was this gangster but he was a performace high school kid. He was a clown, he wasn't a real gangster but he would act gangster. He was a method actor, but he went too far."
He also talks about seeing both Tupac and Biggie before their untimely deaths.
