Shay Johnson spoke out about her relationship with Scrappy in a recent interview with VH1, and despite his romantic ties with Bambi and Erica P as depicted on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Shay claims that she and Scrappy are still intimate. She began by denying having ever met Bambi, and remarked how she couldn't care less about their relationship because what they are doing doesn't affect what Shay has going on with Scrappy.
"No, and I care not to. I have nothing bad to say about her. It's irrelevant because I haven't gone anywhere. There has been social network back and forth, little subliminal comments. But it's petty. She's doing her with him — whatever they're doing. But I'm doing me with him, and that's the great part."
Shay later provided a timeline of Scrappy's romance with his numerous female companions, and recalled how she and Scrappy were platonic friends for four years prior to ever engaging in sexual interactions with one another.
"Scrappy dealt with and known Erica [Dixon] for over ten years. I came in the picture maybe three years after they met and I knew their situation but then he was dealing with [rapper] Diamond from Crime Mob who he was living with. He and I were just friends for the first four years, no sexual contact, no nothing. When he had his breakup with Diamond and when I had my breakup, that's how we ended up getting together."
She dismissed the question regarding her thoughts on Scrappy and Bambi's relationship being real when the cameras are turned off, and solely focused on her own connection with him.
"I know what we have and I know where I stand and how long I've been around, ya know? And it's unfortunate that the world has not seen that, as of now, but like I said I haven't went anywhere and I'm not going nowhere. So you can take it how you want it."
Shay also touched on the love-triangle drama between Scrappy, Bambi, and Erica Pinkett, and how she is only focused on their "unconditional love" for one another.
"I was told [Bambi] was sleeping with him when he was dealing with other women — living with other women, so you really can't get mad if somebody is messing with a guy that you've been dealing with and you were doing the same thing to another female. You can't turn a ho into a housewife. Period. All I'm focused on is what he and I have, and that's unconditional love."
Shay posted a message about her interview with VH1 on Instagram and got loads of responses from fans regarding the romance drama.
