Lil Durk vowed to never appear in a court room again back in August, but the Chicago rapper was reportedly arrested for gun charges while police were investigating a homicide. According to The Chicago Tribune, officers went to a home in Orland Hills around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, and were let in by a woman who answered the door.
Inside, they found Durk, real name Durk Banks, standing in a living room near two guns that were out in plain sight. According to a police report, Durk told them, "I got those pipes (guns) 'cause (expletive) always be tryin' to take my bands (money)."
Police took the Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds, and arrested Durk, whom they knew was a convicted felon.
The rapper's attorney, Sam Adam Jr., released a statement to the Tribune about the incident, "He's upset, of course. We feel very confident that he did not possess a gun. No gun was ever in the possession of Mr. Banks. At all. I am trying to investigate what exactly happened."
This comes just after Lil Durk told the publication,"The key word is I'll be staying out of trouble. You can put a capital 'N' — for never," after a hearing for gun charges back in August.
