The lawyer of B.B. King sent out a public announcement, revealing that the blues legend has passed away at the age of 89. Attorney Brent Bryson added that King died peacefully in his sleep at 9:40 p.m. PDT Thursday at his home in Las Vegas.
King was recently hospitalized in April for complications stemming from his type-2 diabetes, a condition he has dealt with for over two decades, but the exact reason of his death is unclear.
