Earlier this year, Houston Rockets legend Steve Francis's chain was snatched and VladTV delivered exclusive details about what transpired, and with the help of respected Rap-A-Lot C.E.O. J. Prince, the chain was eventually returned to its rightful owner.
Recently, Sauce Walka of The Sauce Twinz, along with Sosaman and Young Payday of the emerging Houston collective The Sauce Factory, chopped it up with DJ Smallz Eyes regarding Steve Francis having his chain snatched at their show. Each of the three gentlemen demonstrated their regard for the former Houston Rocket, and said that they view him as the "big homie," before explaining that the incident was just a "big misunderstanding."
"It's just a testament...to our character, that was a situation where we really could have really let the situation not only escalate and got more violent for him, but it could have been a situation where he could have never really got his jewelry back, and that was almost a $100,000 chain," says the outspoken Sauce Walka. Later he explains that since they're self-made there's no reason to take any material things from other people.
Soon, Sosaman offers, "We have our own, we don't need to take from no man. We know how it is, so why would we take from anybody," as he closes his comment on the situation. As the conversation continues, Walka confirms that even though they're bred from the streets, they challenge themselves to make money on their own without having to resort to stealing it from others.
"He cool, we gave him the jewelry back to show that we are compassionate people," said Sauce, and recognizing that anyone can be a potential victim, Sauce Walka added that he and the people around him work to ensure that they're prepared for life's unforeseen obstacles.
