Hip-Hop made history again last night (Jan. 12), as Wale opened up for President Obama's final State of The Union address, with a performance at the White House. Typically, the SOTU has one headliner with no opening acts, but with the Obama's nack for spontaneity and celebrity power, they decided to bring something new with rapper Wale, in his last term. Before the 44th President addressed millions regarding serious matters, viewers got to groove to a performance by the lyricist. The D.C. native performed songs like "Chillin'" and "LoveHate Thing" and is now recognized as the first rapper to ever open up for the SOTU address.

Watch his performance at the 5:07:35 mark.
