The media has been taken over with news of the shooting at T.I.'s concert at Irving Plaza on Wednesday (May 25), which killed one person, Ronald McPhatter, who was known as B$B Banga. Rapper Troy Ave was charged with attempted murder in the matter after surveillance footage showed him firing off shots backstage at the event.
While little is known about the victim, aside from him knowing Troy Ave since junior high school, VladTV has exclusively learned that McPhatter punched iLoveMakonnen back in 2014. Video footage of the incident shows McPhatter motioning to the "Tuesday" artist during his show at SOBs, and seconds later he laid several punches on Makonnen.
Around the same time of the incident, Troy Ave was involved in a brief online back and forth with Makonnen after he remixed the former OVO artist's hit song. Makonnen tweeted, "Yall for trash for them remixes. That's the worst, fake beats and s***, lord! Let it go!," to which Troy Ave responded, "Jus snow dat #we gon see about thum comments when we see u fat b**** !" Soon after Makonnen was assaulted at the show, Troy Ave's management denied that the Brooklyn rapper or his crew had anything to do with the fight.
