Former Basketball Wives star Laura Govan admitted to setting up her sister with Matt Barnes in order to get her away from her then-boyfriend Gilbert Arenas.
Laura sat down with Hollywood Unlocked where she revealed the details behind the story and why she doesn’t speak about her sister’s past hookups with Arenas. She said she’s saving those details for her upcoming book. However, she did explain the hookup for her sister and Barnes. “That is true. That’s what I did. It was something I was going through and we were younger…There was a lot going on in the relationship…There’s a lot that I went through, with my sister and dealing with this situation,” she said. “When I hooked them up—She was a thorn in my a** when I was in a relationship with Gilbert… And her friends…It was a lot.”
Laura is in a bitter court battle with Arenas right now. She also admitted to having a strained relationship with her sister Gloria due to her having an affair with Arenas. Laura said Gloria and her were very close, but drama over her ex has caused serious issues between the two. Even with the drama, Laura said Gloria is still more than welcome to attend her upcoming birthday party. "At the end of the day she's still my sister," she said. "She was my baby."
