T.I.'s step daughter was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Thursday night [June 16], when she was busted trying to bring an unlicensed gun through security. 20-year-old Zonnique Pullins, who is the daughter of T.I.'s wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris, was stopped at a TSA checkpoint, where an x-ray machine picked up a .380 Ruger pistol among her possessions. She would be transported to Clayton County Jail where she was formally placed under arrest.
While Pullins was detained at around 10 p.m., the status of the gun remained pending as she told authorities that she had a permit. It was when she could not provide it on the spot that she was taken in and it later verified that she in fact did not have paperwork on the weapon. Along with the firearm police confiscated a clip with five rounds of ammunition. She would be released at 2:09 a.m. on Friday morning. She faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in an unauthorized area.
Pullins' arrest draws reminiscence to that of her step-father's in 2007, when T.I. was locked up for attempting to illegally purchase an assortment of machine guns hours before he was scheduled to appear at the BET awards. He would would plead guilty to federal weapons charges and serve a year of house arrest.
