Tom Brady walked out of a press conference after a reporter asked him about Trump’s controversial “locker room talk” defense over his lewd comments about women recorded before an Access Hollywood interview in 2005.
The New England Patriot’s quarterback is a known Trump supporter and the Republican Presidential candidate even credited the NFL star for his primary win in Massachusetts. The reporter asked Brady’s opinion of Trump’s defense at the end of a press conference on Wednesday morning. Brady responded by not responding at all. “Thank you guys, have a good day,” he said before walking out.
Brady has called Trump a friend in the past and said that’s the driving factor behind his support for him. “I support all of my friends in everything they do. I think it’s pretty remarkable what he’s achieved in his life,” said Brady during WEEI’s “The Dennis & Callahan Show” back in December. “You’re going from business, kind of an incredible businessman, and then a TV star, and then getting into politics. It’s a pretty different career path. I think that is pretty remarkable.” Brady also said Trump had been a strong supporter of his since he helped judge a beauty pageant for him.
