In an interview with USA Today, LaVar Ball, father of UCLA guard Lonzo Ball and his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo, made his price firm to suitors in terms of potential sneaker deals; $1 Billion combined. Mr. Ball goes on to say that it does not have to be given to him all at once, but $100 million a year would suffice. To put this in perspective, KD makes about $30 Million a year from his Nike Contract.
LaMelo Ball is a star player at UCLA and a virtual lock for a top-3 spot in the 2017 NBA Draft, while his younger brothers, LiAngelo and LaMelo have gained notoriety as high schoolers, with LaMelo having scored 92 points in a game earlier this year. Both younger brothers have already committed to joining UCLA in the following years. In order to preserve LaMelo's college eligibility, any potential "package deal" with the three brothers would not go into effect until 2020.
