Brooklyn rapper Casanova made an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Monday, March 20, and among many topics covered, from his Roc Nation signing under long time Jay-Z collaborator Memphis Bleek to his prison rap sheet, the most poignant moment in the interview came when he began to touch on his relationship with jailed Tax Season podcast host Taxstone.

While expounding on what their friendship means to him, the budding 29-year-old, who was moved to record a record in dedication to Taxstone ["Tax Letter"] following his arrest in connection with last year's Irving Plaza shooting, detailed how the lessons he learned from his homie, on how to stay out of trouble, eventually came around to sink the very man who preached them to him. In opening up on the matter, he also expressed a sense of guilt that were it not for him pressuring Tax to come out that night, he might have never found himself in a situation that will potentially impact the rest of his life.

"Why I'm really hurt is cause ... I told him to come out with me that night," said Cas. "You know what I'm saying? That's why I feel like I owe him the world man, because he was arguing with me like, "I don't do that, outside thing, I don't do that." He wouldn't have been in this situation I feel, if I would have just been like, 'alright you ain't gotta come, go ahead,' you know what I'm saying?"
