Netflix and Univision have teamed up to tell the infamous story of Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. Head of the Sinaloa Cartel, El Chapo was responsible for exporting more than 500 tons of cocaine in the U.S. alone by the time he was arrested in 2014. Guzman has also escaped prison on multiple occasions. Netflix has had much success in the past with its hit original series "Narcos", and they seem to be channeling that format, hoping this El Chapo series will be another gold mine.
