Lance Stephenson didn't exactly have a Michael Jordanesque run through the first four years of his career with the Pacers, but it was by far his best tenure in the NBA, with the 26-year-old having virtually fallen off of the planet since his 2014 exit from Indiana. But that didn't stop him from dabbling in a bit of hyperbole on Friday, March 31, when he imagined his return to the city to the likeness of Jordan's comeback from retirement in 2001.

“It’s going to probably be like Michael Jordan coming back to play in the NBA or something like that. Somebody coming out of retirement. The atmosphere is going to be crazy,” Stephenson said when asked by Grady & Big Joe Show host Michael Grady what he envisions the atmosphere will be like when he steps back on Indiana's home court in Pacers yellow on Tuesday.

Fans at Bankers Life Fieldhouse ought to give Stephenson a healthy ovation considering the post-season contender he helped the franchise become between 2010 and 2014. They can only hope to see the same glory in the near distant future, with the Brooklyn-born star having just inked a 3 year deal with the team.
