Wrestlemania 33 took place this past Sunday, and the event did not go without having memorable moments including John Cena proposing to his girlfriend Nikki Bella.
Cena and Bella had just won a mixed tag team match, which led Cena into his proposal. Cena said, "This is what you wanted over a year ago. You broke your neck and did everything you could to come back because you wanted a WrestleMania moment. I’m so very proud of you. Right before your surgery, there would be a time when you would be a little loopy and I could ask you anything I wanted. If you gave me an honest answer, you wouldn’t remember what you said. After a year and a half, you asked me all the time. I promised I would tell you when the time is right. The time is right." Cena then took a ring out of his pocket and asked Bella for her hand in marriage. The two had been dating since 2012, and their relationship along with Cena's hesitation to marry Bella was a major part of her reality show. Cena's proposal is the first time any wrestler has proposed at the yearly spectacle.
