The years-long beef between Jeezy and Freddie Gibbs has for the most part been on a low simmer ever since Gibbs departed from Jeezy's CTE label in 2012. Aside from a few diss tracks, the two rappers have pretty much kept their differences out of the spotlight. That may change, however, after new shots were fired by Gibbs during a recent sit-down with Viceland's Desus & Maro.
The incendiary words came near the end of the interview when the Gary, Indiana rapper questioned the hosts about skipping over "the Jeezy question."
"I saw that s***, n***a, I can read a teleprompter," joked Gibbs. He then went on to explain in a tongue-in-cheek manner that his beef with Jeezy is, in fact, dead; though he couldn't resist getting in some jabs as well.
"It gotta be beef when there's two real muthaf**kas in the equation. When there's one muthaf**ka, it's like, pshh. Pu**y ass n***a! Pu**y ass n***a! I'll whoop your ass, n***a. F**k with me...f**k Jeezy. B**ch ass n***a...and when that n***a come on here ask him about me."
While the words were harsh, Gibbs' demeanor seemed to indicate that they lacked any real animosity.
