Legendary comedian Dave Chappelle stopped by HOT 97 to discuss the culture and his upcoming string of performances at Radio City Music Hall. The conversation eventually shifted toward popular culture and many subjects popped up, including JAY-Z's 4:44. Chappelle is well known for his love of hip-hop, having been an avid supporter of the Roots and De La Soul among others for years.

"This guy's saying stuff I want to hear," he said. "It's a record for a person of my time. It's the first time, I think, that a guy of his age can make a relevant record. It's fun to see a genre like hip hop be mature like this. Jay Z went to space and came back. He's a billionaire from Brooklyn. I appreciate that. If I had that kind of money you'd never see my ass again."

When asked about R. Kelly, Chappelle didn't stay on the subject for long. He instead described almost cutting the infamous R. Kelly "P*ss On You" skit from his former sitcom, Chappelle's Show. Dave then added that R. Kelly responded to the situation by saying that he had never heard of Chappelle before. Flip to the 48:00 mark to hear what he had to say.
