Robert Yancy, son of legendary singer Natalie Cole was found dead Monday night.
The 39-year-old was found in his San Fernando Valley apartment when a friend came to check on him. The friend hadn't heard from Robert in a very long time.
According to TMZ, authorities contacted the family at 2:30 am Tuesday morning to tell them that Robert died of a heart attack. As of right now, the authorities are ruling it as death from natural causes, however, the autopsy and toxicology report is still pending.
Both Natalie and Robert's father died of heart-related illnesses. It's possible that heart diseases run in the family but for now, we'll wait for the full autopsy report.
