This past Sunday, 22-year-old rapper, Gee Money (Garrett Burton), was fatally shot in Louisiana. The young, up and coming artist was leaving a studio session in Baton Rouge and an unknown assailant approached him and shot him in the head. Baton Rouge police reported that Gee Money died at the scene of the crime.
It is unfortunate that his life was taken at such a young age and all of his fans are disappointed that they won't be able to see his career grow like they thought it would. What is even more unfortunate, Gee Money spoke on moving out of Baton Rouge with Say Cheese TV before he passed away. He told them, "If I blow up, I'll leave Baton Rouge, but I'll never turn my back on the city."
