Co-host of the Breakfast Club and famous NYC DJ, DJ Envy discusses how his degree has helped him separate himself from other DJs. Envy says that when started out his career most of the other DJs he saw were overweight, mentioning Funk Flex and Mister Cee. After recognizing that DJs were starting to fit a certain mold or physical characteristics Envy decided to take another route with his image. He goes on to say, "I wanted to be that fly DJ. I wanted them to when they saw me say, is he a DJ or a rapper?"

He reveals that his marketing plan when he first started out was to get the attention of the female audience and trust that the male audience would follow. Envy confirms that his plan worked, he began seeing more and more females showing up to the clubs he was playing at to see him. He also takes credit for being the first on the radio to play French Montanna's "Pop That" and Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" despite program director's disapproval.
