Apparently, the Black Mamba was not only lethal on the court but he might also have posed a threat behind the mic. Music producer and high school classmate of Kobe Bryant, Russel Howard recently opened up about Kobe's rap career and unreleased project that exists. According to Bleacher Report, Howard admits that Kobe's intense work ethic that he had for basketball also transferred to his musical endeavors. The Black Mamba was always a fan of hip-hop, Howard discusses Bryant's admiration of Wu-tang clan. Kobe had high expectations for his friend and producer Howard and when Howard met the expectations he was congratulated by being put into contact Jay-Z. Howard went on produced two tracks on Hov's Vol. 3 Life and Times of S. Carter.

Kobe made many tracks including ones with Tyra Banks and Brian McKnight. The song that he had with Tyra Banks was called "K.O.B.E." and the two also shot a video with Hype Williams never made it out to the public. The two performed the song at the NBA All-Star Weekend in 2002. Soon after their performance, label execs at Sony dropped Kobe from the label and a project he had recorded titled "Visions", was never released.
