Previously, news broke that Mystikal was arrested for an alleged rape and kidnapping that took place in Shreveport, Louisiana at Sam’s Town Casino and Hotel.
According to reports, the incident took place October 22, 2016, and the rapper had accomplices in the alleged rape and kidnapping. One man named Averweone Holman, aka "Lil Hood," was arrested, as well as a woman named Tenichia Wafford. The woman was charged in the case with obstructing justice. She allegedly called the victim in the case and tried to get her to drop her complaint against Mystikal and Lil Hood. Bail for Wafford was set at $500,000. Both men are facing charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. The bail for each of them was set at $3 million. A grand jury in Caddo Parish District court order indictments against three suspects in the case.
Since then, news surfaced saying Mystikal’s arraignment has been delayed because he currently has no lawyer. Initially, Mystikal secured lawyer Kenneth Beck, who was able to file motions for the rapper earlier in the beginning of the case. Now, Judge Ramona Emanuel granted the rapper more time to find a lawyer for his case. Because of that, his next court date will be on November 28, 2017.
According to the Shreveport Times, court documents in the case have been sealed.
