Actor Jermaine "Huggy" Hopkins is in the news once again for weed-related charges.
Hopkins, 44, was arrested in Arizona back in 2011 after he allegedly purchased over 200 pounds of marijuana from undercover officers.
This time around, Hopkins was busted in Apex, North Carolina after being pulled over for speeding.
According to TMZ, the actor of Lean on Me and Juice fame was pulled over by police last week for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. One pulled over, police reportedly discovered 5.7 pounds of marijuana in his trunk.
Hopkins was arrested on felony drug possession with intent to sell. He was also hit with a speeding ticket before regaining his freedom on a $3,000 bond.
Back in 2011, police say they recovered $100,000 in cash from Hopkins' SUV and found an additional 100 pounds of weed in the actor's apartment. He reportedly received three years of probation for the crime.
This isn't the first report to come out this week of public figures getting busted for drugs--Canadian superstar PartyNexDoor was arrested earlier this month for alleged possession of Xanax at the US and Canada border.
PartyNextDoor has since been freed; the day of his arrest he posted an Instagram caption reading, "The only chains on these wrists have diamonds on them."
