NFL superstar Marshawn Lynch thought up a convenient way to both get a warm-up in and to give back to some of the luckier young jocks in his native Oakland on Wednesday, October 25, when he returned to his Oakland Technical High School alma mater to join the school's football squad for practice.
Oakland Tech is currently in playoff contention with a record that stands at 5-1, making the competitive mismatch ideal in preparing them for a possible playoff berth and postseason stretch. Meanwhile, Lynch is currently serving out a one-game suspension that prohibits him from contributing to the Raiders just as they hunker down for their own playoff chase. Therefore, the five-time Pro Bowl running back selected to go with what he saw as the next best route one day after his appeal of the infraction was denied, and he showed up decked out in his Raiders gear for the action.
Of course, the Oakland Tech team struggled to deal with the school's former All-American and San Francisco East Bay Player of the Year. By the looks of a video of the event that he posted on social media, it took nearly half of the student/players to take him down on one tackle. In another instance, Lynch is unmerciful as he stiff-arms a defender.
