Back in the day before social media, the only way the public would get an insight into an artist's lifestyle was through television shows. One of the best shows that featured the extravagant life of celebrities was MTV Cribs. However, one of the most iconic episodes in series history was when Redman showed off his rather modest Staten Island house.
In the show appearance, Redman, one of hip hop's realest rappers, showed off his infamous "Dollar Box," which was a box full of single dollars. Over the years, fans have wondered if Redman still kept up his practice of placing extra dollars in a box for a rainy day. Redman took to Instagram to answer the question on the mind of his fans.
"Motherfu**as wanna know if I still have my dollar box from MTV Cribs," Red said before turning the camera. "F**k yeah, I still got my dollar box! Straight dollars," says Redman. "That's that 'my check ain't cleared, but I still got some money to go get groceries box."
Redman may be adding more money to his makeshift bank soon. The New Jersey rapper is the host of VH1's new show Scared Famous.
