It appears not even Shaquille O’Neal can withstand the heat involved in the one chip challenge.
For those of you out the Loop, Paqui Chips created the Carolina Reaper Madness Chip. The tortilla chip is made with the spiciest peppers in the world, ghost pepper, and the Carolina Reaper. The chip is so hot that Paqui only sells one per pack. While it seems painless to eat just one chip, the coffin-shaped packaging is a clear indicator that task will be daunting.
However, on Thursday's edition of Inside the NBA, Shaq bet Charles Barkley $20 he wouldn’t make a face while eating the chip. After biting into the chip, Shaq looks dead into the camera with precise focus, seemingly unfazed by the heat.
“Its nothing to me” Shaq utters to his co-hosts. A few moments later, Shaq lets out a sigh before coughing. “I’m not making a face. I’m just coughing. I’m not making a face” Shaq says to a studio filled with laughter. “Oh, its hot” Shaq said while guzzling down a bottle of water.
Alongside eating firey chips, Shaq has been dropping fire in the booth. Recently, the NBA Hall of Famer dropped a dissed track towards London comedian Michael Dapaah aka Big Shaq.
