Since his inception in the rap game in 2012, Moneybagg Yo has crossed paths and broken bread with the biggest names in the Memphis rap scene.Things got a little awkward when he was asked about former collaborator Young Dolph, especially when he's been making money with Yo Gotti's CMG label.
Moneybagg fielded an assortment of questions during a recent sit-down with TMZ, but there was really only one thing on his mind concerning the interview, and that was the opportunity to promote the "Fed Baby's" album he's got out in partnership with YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Whenever the host Raquel Harper inquired into a subject that he didn't want to answer, "Fed Baby's" was his go-to response to move the conversation along. The line came in handy when Harper asked about how many baby mama's he's got. And not surprisingly, it would prove useful when she began to ask about his relationship with Dolph, who Moneybagg featured on his 2016 single, "I Need A Plug."
"It is what it is. Fed Baby's drops Friday. You know what I'm saying, it's a new album. Like, Fed Baby's drop Friday. I'm excited about that. It's a good project," he replied when Dolph's name came up. Moments earlier Harper asked about Moneybagg's connection with fellow Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta, and he was all business in regards to Youngsta the same; thereby reinforcing his assertion that he mostly keeps his friendships in-house.
Which might be why the burgeoning talent has managed to stay out of the drama CMG has been embroiled in as of late. "I know how to move," he then explained, after telling Harper that he's never been shot.
