Lil Peep may have passed away at only 21, but the New York rhymer's time spent in the spotlight was long enough to get a healthy dialogue going about the rampant problem with prescription drug abuse among young people today.

Peep's brother Oskar spoke publicly on the rapper's death a few days after he passed, telling People magazine that he had no reason to suspect his brother's death was a suicide.

“It was an accident, it really was an accident,” Oskar said. “He was super happy with where he was in life.”

While Peep may have unintentionally overdosed, his drug abuse was brought about in large part as a way to deal with his problems, and in a newly unearthed interview from Montreality, Peep gave some words of wisdom to anyone contemplating taking their own life.

"You can't predict where you're gonna be next year, you have no idea, you know what I mean?," said Peep. "There have been points, like, I've been at very, very, very low points like s**tty situations, horrible situations.

"My mom always tells me, 'time will heal everything,'" adds the rapper. "It will eventually get better."
