During the holidays, it’s not rare to see your favorite rappers out in the community giving back. Many artists are out spreading joy by giving out turkeys and volunteering in the communities that birthed them. This year the Migos were out in Atlanta passing out turkeys, Lil Uzi Vert handed out turkeys in Philly and even though, in prison, Meek Mill still managed to recruit his Dreamchasers team to assist those in need by giving out turkeys.
Another artist that wanted to give back to the community, chose to pass on giving out turkeys and give away something that would last longer. Rae Sremmurd member Slim Jimmy was recently captured on film giving out Xbox consoles to a group of children. On the video you see kids gather around him smiling as he passes out new game consoles them.
“All you need is the controller,” he says as he passes out the consoles during Thanksgiving Day. “Say thank you and be grateful” the children are told as they smile holding their new gaming systems.
Rae Sremmurd has shot to fame after entering the rap game and Slim wanted to make it known that while he has been able to enjoy the spenders of success, giving back is just as important.
