LeBron Says School He's Opening is Most Important Thing He's Done So Far

3x NBA champion, 3x finals MVP, 4x NBA MVP, 13x All-Star, 11x 1st Team All-NBA..

The list could go on and on, but according to LeBron James, his most important accomplishment will come off of the basketball court. The Akron School Board approved a plan for a public school in conjunction with King James’ charity. According to LeBron and members of his foundation, the school’s will primarily target kids at risk of falling behind. The public school is scheduled to open next fall for third and fourth graders, to begin with, followed by plans to add many more grade levels in the near future.

King James had this to say about the school’s opening: “Besides having three kids and marrying my wife, putting my mom in a position where she never has to worry about anything ever again for the rest of her life, this is right up there,” James told reporters on Thursday morning. “Championships, MVPs, I mean points, rebounds, and assists, that stuff if whatever. But for me to be able to open up a school and give back to my inner city, so many kids that I know because I was those kids.”
