Lenny Grant, formerly known as Uncle Murda, passed the ultimate judgment on Pastor Mason Betha telling the rapper that he’s going to hell for his flip-flopping ways.
Grant was interviewing with Hot 97 and discussing Mase’s career in hip-hop this week when he made the bold declaration. “Mase going to hell,” said Grant to Peter Rosenberg, Ebro and Laura Styles.
“I think [he will]. I don't think he’s doing it right. I think Mase going to hell.” Grant also said Mase was a strong artist when he first came out but tarnished his legacy by jumping back and forth between music and the church. Uncle Murda didn’t even realize that Mase is still an active pastor after dropping his profanity-laced diss against longtime frenemy Cam’ron last week.
“Mase had a good time in hip-hop when he came up. I don’t think he had a long enough run. And I think he did too many weird things that kind of messed up his career. The leaving and becoming a pastor. I think that was real bad for him,” said Grant.
Mase recently sat with Angie Martinez on Tuesday and basically told Cam’ron that things will end badly for him if he keeps releasing disses towards him. The conversation even had Martinez uncomfortable at certain parts. He was dressed in what looked like black scuba gear and had most of his head completely covered. It’s unclear what Mase is planning, but it looks like he’s ready for a full-fledged comeback into rap.
