A heartwarming story out of Texas has many on social media buzzing about the extent of one father's generosity.
An African-American teen by the name of Chris recently walked into the body shop owned by his girlfriend's father, only to be gifted with a new set of wheels! A video of the surprise shows Chris' reaction as he is received by his girlfriend, Madison, her father, and a few other members of Madison's family.
"Here you go, brother. Merry Christmas," the dad says while handing Chris the keys to his new ride. Chris then slowly backs away and attempts to hand the keys back, saying that he cannot accept such a pricey present. But the father insists. "It's all yours," he tells Chris.
A Twitter page traced back to Madison would indicate that the surprise was the real deal. Her cover photo is of her and Chris coupled up, and she has a heart with his name next to it in her profile information. When scrolling down her page, scores of retweets of the clip come up from people who were touched by the high school couple's moment.
Madison's dad would go on to tweet about why he went such lengths to make Chris' holiday, stating: "I got this car for Chris and would not have done so if he wasn't an awesome young man with a bright future. He treats Madison with respect, he's fun to be around, and I'd be proud to call him my own. Thank you for recognizing the positive."
