Quavo and Nicki Minaj have released the music video for their new single, "She For Keeps". The song was originally created for the Control the Streets, Volume 1 mixtape by Quality Control. It is the 20th song off the mixtape, released December 2017, and calls in Murda Beatz and Frank Dukes for production.
The beat has a calm and relaxing vibe, while Nicki's lyrics are braggadocious, per usual, with the rap princess spitting, "My body's perfect, bitch I'm perfect/ Got Em Hurtin', He know for certain, Cop me that Birkin/ Baby nervous, I make 'em nervous, I make 'em nervous".
The video is retro-themed, vibrant and colorful, with Quavo playing Super Nintendo and wearing a fanny pack, rapping about a woman he is lusting for, "Like the way she take them pictures, it's the angle (flash)/ Like the way she keep her business all personal / You know, you know, you know, you fit me / You get me, you get me, you get me". In the visual, Quavo is taking Nicki on a date at an old-fashioned diner. Recently, the duo also collaborated on "Motorsport", along with Cardi B. The music video has Quavo and Daps for production credits.
