Oscar Award-winning comedian and actress Mo’Nique recently took to social media to call out Netflix and boycott the service for an alleged color and pay bias against her.
In her video, she points out how she was offered $500,000 by Netflix for a comedy special, but noted that Amy Schumer was offered $11 million, while Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were offered $20 million each. From there, she noted that she asked the company to explain the difference, and why there was a major pay discrepancy between her and the rest of those comedians mentioned, the company issued an answer she wasn’t feeling.
