During an interview on Beats 1 with Ebro, Fat Joe touched on how Lil Wayne has influenced the entire generation of young rappers we see today. After Ebro talked about how forward culture is only appreciated in retrospect, Joe brought up Weezy and credited him with the rap climate we know today. "When you hear all these little kids now, who [are] here doing hip-hop music, those are all Lil Wayne's flows."

Ebro brought up Uzi's "XO TOUR Llif3" as an example of a current song that he thinks copied Wayne's blueprint. Fat Joe goes on to state that "Lil Uzi is a bad version of Lil Wayne." While saying that he like Uzi and his music, Fat Joe is honest is revealing that in his opinion, "It's not as good as Lil Wayne. I'ma just be honest with you. And he's good, and I like his songs."

Despite buying Luv is Rage 2 and considering it a good album, Joey Crakk goes on to affirm his stance that Uzi cannot be Weezy. "That's impossible. Lil Wayne was considered . . . He's one of the greatest. He's a G.O.A.T. Not only that, he was lyrically considered the best rapper on Earth for a couple of years. Lil Uzi Vert ain't gonna get that."

"Lil Wayne is Lil Wayne, that's different." The full episode of their conversation will hit Apple Music tomorrow (Jan. 24) at 1 PM.
