Floyd Mayweather Sr. has turned himself in after being charged with the battery of a woman during an incident that allegedly took place after the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight last September.

To recap, the elder Mayweather allegedly got into an argument after the boxing match with a woman who confronted him in his car outside the T-Mobile Arena on Sept. 17, 2017. Things got violent after he allegedly got out of the ride and walked around to the passenger's side to drag her out because she refused his orders to leave his vehicle. In a report filed by the woman earlier this month, Mayweather allegedly grabbed her by the leg and attempted to pull her out of the car. Once that failed, he pounded on her leg with his fist before finally removing her. He then hopped back into the driver's seat and drove away.

According to Sr.'s lawyers, the victim is “trying to extort money and she’s angry because she’s not getting the money from Floyd. It’s not going the way she wants it to go.”

The 65-year-old former boxing pro has pleaded not guilty to the charge in a Las Vegas courtroom.

Mayweather Sr. is due back in court on March 27.
