Despite a Wall Street Journal report from earlier this month that a Trump Organization lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid adult actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about her alleged dalliances with Donald Trump, Daniels issued a signed statement Tuesday denying the affair ever happened.
To Whom It May Concern:
Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago.
The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 2011, 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying the affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened.
I will have no further comment on this matter. Please feel free to check me out on Instagram at @thestormydaniels.
The statement from Daniels came mere hours before Trump was slated to deliver his first State of the Union address to Congress. The porn star, real name Stephanie Clifford, is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after the speech concludes where the topic will undoubtedly come up.
Daniels originally detailed her affair with Donald Trump in a 2011 interview with InTouch Magazine.
