It took a little longer than expected but Terrell Owens has officially made it to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame.
NFL Media members vote on who makes it into the Hall Of Fame every year. It's safe to say the combative relationship Owens had with the media is the reason he was passed over the last couple of years, despite being second all-time in receiving yards and third all-time in receiving touchdowns.
Regardless, the six-time Pro Bowler was voted in during his third year of eligibility along with fellow wide receiver Randy Moss, linebackers Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher, and safety Brian Dawkins. Lewis, Moss, and Urlacher were all voted in during their first year of eligibility. Dawkins makes it in after being a semifinalist for the Hall last year.
Lewis made 13 Pro Bowls and won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice. He led the Baltimore Ravens defense for 17 years and won two Super Bowls in the process.
Moss, currently an analyst for ESPN, caught 982 passes for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns in his 14-year career. Urlacher made the Pro Bowl eight times and was a four-time first team All-Pro. Dawkins made nine Pro Bowls and five first-team All-Pros.
