Update:
At least 17 people were killed during a school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, about an hour North of Miami, making it the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history since the Newtown, Connecticut.
The 19-year-old suspect, who was a former student at the school, was taken into custody without a fight about an hour after the shooting.

At least 20 people are injured as a result of a high school shooting in Florida. Approximately 3000 students attend Stoneman Douglas School (where the incident took place). The local sheriff says the shooter is still at large. Also, teachers and students have barricaded themselves. According to CBS Miami, the suspect could be a former student.
