During his appearance as a guest alongside Shaquille O'Neal and ESPN hosts Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman, and Molly Qerim, Quavo announced that he will be suiting up to participate in the upcoming All-Star Celebrity Game, on Thursday, February 15.
"I will be taking my talents to the NBA All-Star Game," he told the First Take panel. When asked whether he'll be in the line-up for coach Rachel Nichols' Team Lakers or for Team Clippers coach Katie Nolan, the Migos rapper confirmed the latter. "I heard the Clippers wanna do a little deal, so I'ma go that way," said Quavo.
Under Nolan, Quavo will be sharing a bench with the likes of Dascha Polanco, Anthony Anderson, Common, Jamie Foxx and other notable stars in sports and entertainment. And staring back from Nichols' team across the Verizon Up Arena at Los Angeles Convention Center court will be Nick Cannon, Sterling Brim, Terence Crawford, Caleb McLaughlin, and Justin Bieber to give a few names.
Last year Jemele Hill's Team East defeated Michael Hill and Team West by a score of 88-59. Perhaps this year's contest will prove to be a bit more competitive with the help of former players like Tracy McGrady and Nate Robinson on the Lakers side and Jason Williams and Paul Pierce on the Clippers.
