With gun reform being a hot topic after two tragic school shootings which resulted in a multitude of lives being lost in Florida and a 7th grader shooting and killing himself in Ohio, our nation has fallen divided in regards to firearm laws. Now, it looks like two women in Tulsa, Oklahoma are thankful for being gun owners after an encounter with an armed assailant that resulted in the criminal being rushed to the nearest medical facility.
In the video above, you can see the robber entering the liquor store automatically pointing a shotgun in the direction of a young cashier clerk. The clerk allows for the robber to empty the register and waits for him to turn his back and leave. The mother of the cashier clerk returns to the front of the store a reaches for a handgun and lets off several shots in the direction of the robber.
The young clerk also arms herself by grabbing an additional handgun located at the front desk for protection. The robber re-enters the liquor store where he is shot an additional time. Words are exchanged, and a tussle for the mother's firearm begins, which results in the daughter shooting the suspect a couple of more times before the robber was able to gain control of the gun and attempt to shoot the young cashier.
After taking several bullet wounds, the suspect collapsed in behind the front cashier's desk as the mother/daughter combo was able to escape the liquor store location without any major injuries.
The attempted armed robbery suspect is currently in critical condition while the mother in the incident suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover fully. Looks like being properly armed saved these two from being taken advantage of.
