Roger Goodell didn't back down and run from a confrontation with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones during their feud this past Fall, and he wasn't about to turn around and run from a challenge that required him to sprint for a good cause on Monday, March 5. As it turns out, he's got some pretty impressive wheels too.

Goodell put the sporting world on notice that it would behoove anyone who may have doubts about his athleticism, to refrain from betting against his ability. The straight edge NFL commissioner was called out by network anchor Rich Eisen, who runs the 40-yard dash during the annual NFL combine, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the benefit of St. Jude Children's Hospital. As is the case with many causes these days, Eisen is now expanding his efforts by converting his gesture into a challenge, and Goodell is one of the folks he's tagged to join him in running in St. Jude's name.

Upon learning that he had been targeted to do the run, Goodell responded on Twitter, with a tweet that read, "Heard you call me out @richeisen. It’s on. Headed down to the 5th floor @nfl345 to run my 40. #RunRichRun @StJude." He then followed through on his word and literally had the league's office clear space so he could whiff past some of the staff on hand to witness the run.

Goodell's time? 5-minutes and 41-seconds (5.41).
