Every fan of the 90’s remembers the film Set It Off written by Kate Lanie and directed by F. Gary Gray. The film had a megastar cast featuring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica Fox, Kimberly Elsie, Dr. Dre, Blair Underwood and more. In the movie, four women all find themselves on the bad end of luck and in desperation, they decide to rob a bank and attempt to flee the city. Sadly, all of the women except Smith are killed by the police.

The movie has been heralded as a cult classic, and it recently got a refresh thanks to the efforts of the So So Def spitter, Da Brat who recently announced that she turned the movie into a play.

Da Brat recently took to Twitter to share an updated poster of the film and announced that she'd be playing Latifah’s role, Cleo. The New York Times recently wrote about the play calling it "extravagantly action-packed.” The first installment of the play happened March 9, and 10 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta and fans are raving about it.

A short video above shows Da Brat in the famous scene where Cleo had a standoff with the police before she was shot to death. In the video, Da Brat exits the car and lights flash in the building emulating bullets entering her body.

The next installment will happen on March 16 and 17 at Warner Theatre in Washington DC.
