XXXTentacion can't seem to separate himself from domestic abuse accusations. A video of the rapper, without dreads, has been circulating online recently. The clip, which appears to be old, features a woman taking a video in selfie mode.
XXX does a short dance then hit the woman on the side of the head as the camera cuts out. The video looks like a prank, but prosecutors are reviewing it in connection with XXX's current domestic abuse charge, which landed him on probation. He was only just recently allowed to go on tour by a judge.
According to TMZ, XXX believes the woman in the video is attempting to extort him now that he has the number one album in the country. XXX claims that he spoke with the girl shortly after the video began to trend online, and she agreed to sign a statement with the rapper's lawyer stating that it was all done in jest.
Before the papers could get signed though, XXX claims that the girl's grandparents called his team shadily asking what they would do to make the situation disappear. This prompted XXX to believe they were looking for money or fame.
Jaclyn Broudy, XXX's attorney, spoke with TMZ and stated "This 'terrified' woman decides to post this video now, conveniently, when [XXX] becomes famous. Draw your own conclusions."
