Tekashi69 is the most controversial figure in hip-hop right now. Recently he has had public beefs with a few platinum-selling artists, and most recently with YG. There has also been speculation that fellow Brooklyn rapper Casanova's song "Set Trippin'" is directed at Tekashi. A week ago he addressed all of the controversy surrounding his career during a Breakfast Club interview that received over a million views in less than 24 hours.
Many people are comparing Tekashi's methods of creating spectacles to the way 50 Cent came on the scene years ago. Despite their music being different, they both thrive on using controversy to market themselves to the public. 50 crashed the "Gummo" rapper's interview Wednesday on ThisIs50.
According to reports, the two discussed collaborating on projects, including music and TV. Even though specific plans were not set, Tekashi could end up an episode of 50's hit T.V. show "Power."
